August 1 1999 7 hour: Weld down wobbles on decks. Finish up extra framing on port bulkhead. Put reinforcment bridge stringers under cockpit seat. Weldout WT bulkhead in port hull. Figure split hatch details for WT bulkhead.

August 2 1999 5 hour: Cutout forestay chainplate, mast tang, windlass handle. Finishup mid tang plates, press in bushing, layout bits and pieces on 1/2" plate. Finalize position of steering pedestal.

August 3 1999 6 hour: Put hinges and gas lifts on three hatches.

August 4 1999 10 hour: Fab and fit and weldout port rudder tube to hull support in wet well. Cut transom edge and fit pipe support. In building design changed to straight edge rather than curved.

August 5 1999 1 hour: Make up a couple of SS T Bolts for hatches and weldon to aluminium collars

Hatch dog detail. Can be locked in vent position.

August 6 1999 5 hour: Cut and prep mast bits from 1/2" and 3/4" plate. Weld on dogs on hatches and test. Weld on main halyard support, toppling lift support, spin crane and lighting rod.

Masthead. It is finished before ataching to mast as it is beyone the limt of the stretch on the welder.

August 7 1999 5.5 hour: Join mast sections and weldout. Attach forestay tang to mast.

Mast butt joint doubler. The joint is where the shrouds and forestay join in. 48' clear section to there.

August 9 1999 7 hour: Weld on lower shroud mast tangs. Cutout cheeks for 3" halyard blocks and for 4" mainsheet tackle and jib tackle.

Lower tangs. They go right through.

August 10 1999 7 hour: Cutout and weld parts of top shroud tang. 1" cheeks 3/8" centre. Cutout and weld to mast lower spinaker halyard tang... 3/4" plate 1' above forestay offset to side. Masthead spinaker/drifter halyard tang is 1/2" plate on centreline. Put 3/4" wire seagull striker stay in place and put under a bit of tension. Check fit of using double intermediate rails rather than a single on the lifelines. Will go with double even though its 40lbs extra.

August 11 1999 6 hour: Fit and weld on forestay chainplate. It is welded to both sides of bow tube. Loft remaing trims of transoms. Trim inner port transom after welding in a patch where it was deliberately cut out a couple of years ago. It is fitted right up to top of deck now. Work on framing for port hull top step.

August 12 1999 8 hour: Another winter day in August, windy and rainy and cold. Fab and weld on lazy jack tangs on mast. Finish up lower main sheet block fiddle with becket. Assemble and attach some blocks , main halyard, jib halyard, topping lift. Assemble fiddles for jib sheet. Fit up jib boom pedestal to bow tube.

August 13 1999 9 hour: Cut up bits for jib boom fittings. Make up woood epoxy frame for port deadlight. Weld out last of knuckles forward. Weld out bunch of botttom joint on port hull. Press SS bushings into upper shroud tangs.

August 14 1999 6.5 hour: Fit and weld in upper shroud tang in mast doubler area. Prepped sail track. Finish jib pedestal and weled to bow tube doubler.

August 16 1999 6 hour: Weldout most of port hull frames to stringers. Fab jib boom pedestal toggle. Fab mainsheet upper block. Fab T bolts for hatch dogs and weld out to hatches.

August 17 1999 4.5 hour: Fit and weldout port transom top step. Start welding on mast track.

August 18 1999 7 hour: Weld out of some of bottom seams and more mast track. Start on aft deck trim.
