Osram VII

The details here are all a bit vague. This was written up about a year after the work was done.

Enlarging the cutout for the steering crossbar tube.

The stub tillers for the rudder posts.

Rudders coverd in glass. Bottom section is sacrifical. Just as well it gets munched on launching !

Sleeving the rudder post with PVC.

The rudder tube liners made from glass.

Bedding them in with Sikaflex.

Kneeling the camel to put in the rudders. 800 lbs of water on the bow as calculated tips her forward.

Even at that I need to dig down to hardpan to get the rudders in.

\

The rudders are not on the centerline.

View of the motor mount.

The wood shoe of Australian gumwood.

The welder comes off for the final time.
