Sailing Directions:
Samoa (Navigator) Islands consists of two groups, commonly referred
to as American Samoa and Western Samoa. The islands comprising
American Samoa are Tutuila, Aunuu, Ofu, Olosega, Tau, and Rose.
Western Samoa Comprises the islands of Upolu ans Savai'i. The prevailing
winds come from a direction more nearly E. They are fairly constant
through the dry season, but during the wet season they are fitful, and
are frequently broken by periods of calm. Hurricanes occur from January
to March, and occasionally up to the middle of April. The wet season
is from November to April.
