April 5 1999 3 hour: Fit and weldin stb stateroom hatch frame, build hatch.
April 6 1999 2.5 hour: Form and weldup stb mid deck hatch.
April 8 1999 1.5 hour: Form and weldup port mid deck hatch. ( getting faster :)
April 10 1999 3.5 hour: bush mast step and base with SS. Cold chisel small sledge. Too big for press and bearings. Weld hinges onto stb stateroom hatch. Finish cutout of the hatch area. Reinforced the hinge area with stubs. A bit overwelded on the hinges. Idea is that the top of the hatch is 1/8" above the hatch and fill this space with neoprene at 3/8" thick.
Marr weldon hinge on one of the stateroom hatches. Lubed with Boeshield after weldup.
April 11 1999 8 hour: Weldout stuf on stb hull.
April 12 1999 3.25 hour: More weldout and put in stb fordeck hatch frame.
April 15 1999 3 hour: Last stb hatch frame in and more weldout.
April 16 1999 3 hour: Weldout
April 17 1999 7 hour: Weldout, fit stb bow bridal chainplate. 26v 6 feed .045 wire. Nice flow and bead. 48,000 lb design load... Fitted stb bow mooring post and just as it was to be welded it started to pour... ( rain for those not on the west coast ).
April 18 1999 7 hour: Weld on stb mooring post and stb stanchions and rail top. Wife helped with that one.
April 20 1999 2.5 hour: Cut and assemble new wood blocking and start to jackup.
April 21 1999 2 hour: Weldout
April 24 1999 8 hour: Finish mid beam trim stb side. Trim bow ends and weldout. Put deck train in by little pool on inside of deck at mid beam. Hull is not currently level and is down a bit by the stern.
April 25 1999 11.5 hour: Weldout, put in mid hatch frame on port side, the welder is inside the boat and this hatch is needed to get the gun out onto the deck where it can reach fully forward or aft. Weldin forward part of top rail and stanchions on port side.
Detail on stanchion angled pad. This spreads the load over the 1/8" thick rail. This is 1" sch 80 thickwall pipe.

April 26 1999 2.5 hour: Finish port rail.
April 27 1999 2.5 hour: Weldout. Also spent a bit of time welding up a cracked motor mount for the local R.C.M.P police boat. They were by here a couple of weeks ago signing the paper work for the boats documentation. Guess they were satisified with the welding quality.
April 28 1999 .5 hour: Move main mast tube to the assembly area. ( 310 lbs 48' long )
May 1 1999 6 hour: Weldout ( port hull interior )
May 2 1999 4 hour: More Weldout
May 3 1999 1.75 hour: Weldout, port knuckles finished inside.
May 5 1999 1.5 hour: Weldout on port hull interior bottom seam.
May 8 1999 5 hour: More Weldout of port hull interior bottom seam.
May 9 1999 9 hour: Cut out 3/8" plate bits, mast steps bow roller support. Weldout outer edge of inside knuckle except for bits at bows ( have to move welder or wait for forward hatches).
1300.5 hours to date.
